*Marylyn Patton Bradley married John Leonard Bradley. Marylyn's Great, Great Grandfather Calvin Hurst on her Father's side, and John Taylor, John Leonard Bradley's Great, Great Grandfather on his Mother's side, migrated to western Illinois in 1832 after the Blackhawk War. Both eventually bought 40 acres of land next to each other near Quincy, Illinois. John Taylor sold his land to Calvin Hurst, moved to the "Ogden Farm" a few miles south of Atkinson, Illinois where he married Elizabeth Ogden in 1850 then lived with her until his death in 1885. According to DNA analysis Marylyn and John Bradley are not genetically related even though their ansestors were apparently close friends and lived next to each other on the east side of the Mississippi River in the early 1830s.

*Elizabeth Ogden Taylor lived in the same farmstead cabin from November 1850 to August 1928.
