We've
Always Done it This
Way
You
bite your tongue to keep from
yelling at Floyd and stalk back to
your office. He's the third employee
this week who's answered "We've
always done it this way" when you
suggested doing things a different
way.
You thought you were taking over a
conservative group of employees,
and wow were you right.

Employee
thinks Boss
Disrespects Her
"Just
who does she think she is?"
grumbled Peggy to Mike in the hall
outside the restroom. A group of
workers began to gather as Peggy
expounded her litany of grievances:
"She couldn't find her office without
a map and here she is telling me
how
how to manage a project I've had for
years. On top of that, she's
insisting
that I coordinate with Paul
Preston
next door. We'll never get anything
done now, and all because the old bat
has to have things her way.

Boss
micro-manages You
"I just
wondered how things were going
on that Sylvestri case." Carl said as
you
walked into his office. "Have you had
Lois looking into those precedents I
told
you about? And have you been making
Charita record all the time she's
spent
on the phone for this one? What about
those statistics I gave you to
review?
"Not
really," you're tempted to reply. "
Just what I have to do to get to run
my
own unit!" But instead, you depart
with
a smiling, "No sir" and go off to do
Carl's
bidding while the things you know
need to be done sit for another day.

Employee
refuses to follow
order
"I
don't care what you do, I will not
touch that mess in the Collection
Room. You get someone else to do it,
or do it yourself." With that, Jolene
stalked out of your office.
