  1. Review previous documentation and disciplinary actions.
  2. Discuss specific incidents of poor job performance.
  3. Tell the employee he or she is terminated.
  4. Ask the employee to review the reasons for termination.
  5. Have a security person escort the terminated employee to
    his or work station to pick up personal property.
