No one can make any adult do anything. All any
leader can do is create conditions that make it
possible for followers to motivate themselves.

There is good consistent research that proves
the "Do this: get a bonus" system in use for more
than 100 years no longer works well, and the same
research describes what works. We just continue
to use the same old techniques getting the same
old results.
