All work must be
submitted as a
Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.
Be
careful
if you have Office 2007 or 2010. Some
faculty do not have these programs. It is
safest to "Save" files in
Office 2003.
What to do:
This is a
traditional face-to-face
course that the Internet makes it possible to
access anywhere there is high-speed
access.
The course opens to a
Canvas Home Page that
describes what will be learned and access to an
on-line syllabus.
On-Line
Syllabus:
Includes
Directions,
Schedule, Grading scheme and On-Line
Textbook.
Modules:
This course is
organized into eight
Modules. Click on the one assigned to open
the interactive schedule.
Old
Ben
always offers a
little advice.
Quizzes:
Low-stakes quizzes
provide you
with a quick way to check how well you
understand. Each can be taken up to four times
and answers are provided. Everyone earns all
possible points on each quiz.
|
G-Mail:
You have an
official G-Mail
account.
It is important to
check it at least twice a day
since that is from where you will receive
official college communication. I recommend
you forward
Email to the
account you normally
use. Your instructor will respond within 24
hours
except on weekends.
Textbook:
Do NOT
purchase a
textbook; your
instructor wrote a
"Desk
Reference"
that
teaches each course competency. You received
a copy in return for the $10 course fee you
paid
when you registered for this course.
If you
mistakenly purchased a textbook return
it to the bookstore for a
refund.
In this course you will
also produce a portfolio
that includes a personally developed example of
each competency and a professional
resume.
Submitting Assignments:
Use Canvas
Email
to attach documents and e-mail them to your
instructor for review, comment and a
grade.
Mastery of
Internet-based course
management systems will
make it possible for you to complete
college courses anywhere
in the world where you have a
good high-speed Internet
connection.
